Canary Day

We had great fun last week for Canary Day.

We all wore traditional clothes and enjoyed performing songs and dances for our parents.

Each teacher led a different activity, and so Year 3 were able to enjoy:

  • traditional Canarian sports and games with Miss Carla
  • making badges with tradition fruits and vegetables with Miss Fefi
  • using bottle tops to create lizards with Miss Amy
  • making banana and gofio balls with Miss Sam

Welcome Back!

Today marks the beginning of our final term, only 10 weeks left in Year 3!

We will be exploring the following areas in our learning in Term 3:

·         Literacy: Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Poetry.
·         Numeracy: Division, Fractions, Shape and Measure/Weight.
·         Science: Plants – how they grow.
·         Geography: Comparing Gran Canaria with a Scottish Island.
·         Art: Vincent Van Gogh and other European Artists.

Please be sure to use your DuoLingo log in details, because the Duolingo app/website is fantastic for developing Grammar skills, which will be our main area of focus in Literacy this term.
